Dear Teachers, Directors, and Administrators,

Midwest Chamber Ensemble is pleased to announce our 2020 Youth Concerto Competition. The competition is open to most instrument types and is for participants in Kansas and Missouri who are 18 years or younger–there is no minimum age requirement.

Up to TWO winners (one piano, one non-piano) will be selected to perform with the Midwest Chamber Ensemble during its 2020/2021 season.

***A cash prize of up to $250 to be given to the winner(s). If two winners are selected, the award will be divided equally.***

The 2019 competition (and winners) received quite a bit of publicity in the local news and the 2019 Concerto Winners Concert was reviewed by KC Arts Beat, so this is a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to build their portfolio and professional experience as well as potentially receive critical review.
