Come play the piano in the park

KCMTA and Keys 4/4 Kids have partnered with the KCMO Downtown Council for a summer of Piano Music in the Park.

Come to the city park at 12th and Walnut in downtown Kansas City, near the Sprint Center and Power & Light, to experience the joy of creating music in an outdoor setting!

This is an opportunity for your students, as well, to share their music with many others, creating a concert hall for all to experience outdoors!

This beautiful piano was painted by our own KCMTA member, Diane Stoltz. We wish to thank her for giving her time and talent for this summer music community experience.

  1. I suppose there’s no schedule. We just show up with our students and hope there’s a chance to play? Has anyone done this already?

  2. Hi Grace,

Yes, you’re welcome to go with your students at any time – no need to sign up in advance. There are food trucks at the park every Thursday, so there tends to be more of a crowd that afternoon.
