  1. The recital in our studio was in the second last weekend in November. With three weeks still to go before Christmas break, I was also fearing that my students would lack the motivation to keep going. I started gathering ideas from different teachers’ websites such as Pianimation, Susan Paradis, ComposeCreate and Teach Piano Today. We had some Christmas music games for note-reading (timer used) and Christmas tune rhythms they had to recognize and play on the piano (in different keys for the older kids). They also get to record one of their Christmas pieces after the concert that I will send to them so they can share with family and friends who live far away so some of them were happily working hard!
