Join us for the Pianos on Parade Grand Kick-Off Event!

Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-24, 2015) at Union Station

Saturday May 23 all of the pianos will be painted by local artists in the Sprint Festival Hall, with live entertainment and children’s activities providing a festive atmosphere.

Sunday May 24 at 2:00 p.m. we will host a Community Play-Along for anyone who would like to play in a piano orchestra. This will be a fun afternoon for students, teachers, friends and family to make music together.

The Community Play-Along music will be provided at the event, but to look at the music in advance, see the link below. You do not need to sign up for selections; there is no limit on how many pieces you play. Pieces will be played in the order listed. You do not need to notify the committee that you are participating with students. We hope that this will be a rather impromptu hour of music-making for the pure joy of sharing music.

The music is free (and easy) at www.makingmusicfun.net.

  1. Click on Free sheet Music under the purple PRINT IT button.
  2. Scroll down a little and click on the piano.
  3. Scroll down just past the black and blue “No More Excuses” box to find the music listed by levels.
  4. Select and print
