President's Message

Welcome to our Kansas City Music Teachers Association website! We have a great 2007-2008 calendar year coming up with lots of activities for all levels of students. We already have reports of teachers receiving students from our website. Great news! Here is a table of contents for our website:

For Members: our monthly newsletters, calendar for 2008-2009, list of student programs, teacher workshops, Media Library, and locations including addresses for our workshops and activities, and Certification.
Find a Teacher: locates a teacher by last name, teaching field, zip code or city.
Contribute: We are a 501C3 organization. You can contribute by becoming a Music Circles Donor or visit our online store at Cafe Press.
Contact Us: if you want to contact one of the officers in KCMTA.
Useful Links: Connections to useful, informative and fun sites.

I want to emphasize that we attempt to support teachers and students from all levels of achievement from the youngest little musicians to the international competitive students. We have wonderful teachers and professors from many countries including the U.S. who work in all of these levels, from such venues as Musikgarten to winners of MTNA competitions and Professional and Amateur divisions of the Van Cliburn Competition. It's wonderful to see the kind of progressive development possible among our students as they mature and it's great to have teachers who can lead them.

We invite you to explore our website and become familiar with our programs. If you have any suggestions for our website, contact President Joyce Berg at jpiano3@sbcglobal.net or 816-741-7388. Enjoy!
